The 24th World Petroleum Congress was a result of a nail-biting competition where Canada secured the privilege to organize this prestigious event, edging past formidable contenders.

Insights and Highlights:

• Historic Win: Canada secured the bid in a closely contested competition, winning by a single vote margin against Azerbaijan. This victory highlighted Canada's commitment to hosting a world-class gathering for the global oil and gas sector.
• Global Participation: With representatives from over 100 nations, the Congress served as a melting pot for diverse perspectives, fostering enriching exchanges and an interactive exhibition.
• Energy Transition: A central theme of the Congress was the path to Net Zero, addressing the global challenge of increasing energy demand while ensuring responsible transformation, good governance, and meeting the needs of society, climate, and the environment.
